These eLearning modules outline the obligations of all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions in Victoria to prevent work-related gendered violence.
By the end of this course, you will have an increased awareness of:
- Employer and worker obligations in relation to work-related gendered violence in an RTO.
- What a risk management framework is and an understanding of hazards and risks in relation to work-related gendered violence.
- The detrimental impacts of work-related gendered violence on workers and students in the short, medium and long term.
- The prevalence of work-related gendered violence and its impacts on RTOs.
- The causes of work-related gendered violence.
- Preventing work-related gendered violence from occurring in RTOs.
Enhance your organisation's capacity to foster safe and respectful environments with our Training for Respect face-to-face sessions. Building on the online learning modules and tailored for managers and leaders in TAFEs and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), these interactive 2.5-hour sessions equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to prevent gender-based violence and promote lasting cultural change in the workplace.
Session 1: Building Safe RTOs – Foundations for Preventing Workplace Gendered Violence
In this foundational session, participants will explore the key drivers of gender-based violence in the workplace and learn strategies to foster safer, more equitable environments. Through guided discussions and activities, participants will draw on their personal and professional experiences, creating a rich learning experience that connects theory to practice.
Session 2: Taking Action – Implementing Systemic Change in Your RTO
This session focuses on moving from learning to action. Participants will develop action plans to establish systems, structures, and governance processes that will sustain long-term change, ensuring their organisations are leaders in preventing workplace gendered violence.
